Bioguard

Bioguard is a wound dressing based on our trademark Nimbus technology. These biodegradable and nontoxic wound care solutions are found to eliminate even highly pernicious pathogens. The active ingredient in Bioguard has the property that bacteria cannot develop resistance, leading to a dressing that is safe for long term use. These products, manufactured by Medline, are commercially available on Amazon and other platforms.

DriGo-HP

DriGo-HP is a skinfold management textile in the form of an antimicrobial wicking sheet. DriGo-HP uses Quick-Med Technologies' trademark antimicrobial technology known as Stay Fresh. Stay Fresh works through a mechanism involving disruption of cell walls and oxidative dissolution of organelles. The end products of the hydrogen peroxide chemistry are water and oxygen, so there are no toxicity concerns. DriGo-HP is highly effective against common pathogens of public health interest and has been proven to have greater than 99.99% effective at eliminating pathogens such as MRSA, pseudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, and SARS. DriGo-HP's ultra-smooth fabric is soft to the touch and removes moisture from the skin's surface.

Antimicrobial Occular Care

Quick-Med Technologies developings and implements sterilization and preservative solutions. Many occular care products and materials are an environment where bacteria tend to grow, and common preservatives are toxic and detrimental to occular healing. To solve this problem, we have designed and tested medical devices using our Nimbus antimicrobial technology that eliminate the need for typical eyedrop solution preservatives, removing their harmful effects.

A versatile antimicrobial that can be used on almost any surface, Stay Fresh integrates with medical scrubs, linens and towels, airplane seats, clothing items including socks, underwear and t-shirts, and more. Stay Fresh textiles retain their antimicrobial effectiveness even after 75+ laundering cycles, outperforming most other similar products on the market.

Antimicrobial Paints and Coatings with Stay Fresh

Stay Fresh infuses paints and surface coatings with a durable, strong, and human-safe antimicrobial quality. This property saves time and materials costs and reduces the need for potentially hazardous cleaning products. Stay Fresh both is long-lasting and regenerable, so it doesn't interrupt the life cycle of infrastructure. Because Stay Fresh is biocompatible and uses materials that degrade to just water and oxygen, Stay Fresh does not introduce toxicity into the environment. The Stay Fresh paint technology is being developed with support from NSF.
